In exercise of power conferred under Sec. 80GG of the Registration Act, 1908 (Act XVI of 1908) and in supersession of all previous notifications on the subject, the Inspector General of Registration, West Bengal has made the said rules.

The procedures for the persons eligible for licence, disqualification of Copy Writers, renewal of licence, conditions attached to Copy Writer’s license, issue of duplicate licence, cancellation & suspension of Copy Writer’s licence etc. has been laid down in the said rules.
